U.S. Copyright Office welcomes ASU Law graduate Elizabeth J. Porter as new Ringer Honors Fellow
Elizabeth J. Porter has joined the U.S. Copyright Office as a fellow in the Barbara A. Ringer Copyright Honors Program. Since September, she has worked primarily with the Office of Policy and International Affairs, the Office of the General Counsel and is expected to gain exposure in all parts of the office. Overall, Porter will obtain insight into the U.S. copyright system to utilize in her future career aspirations.

ASU Law alums earn prestigious tax law clerkships
Two graduates from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University have the opportunity to fine-tune their tax skills as clerks with the U.S. Tax Court in Washington, D.C. There are only 30 tax court clerkships in this specialized field of law. ASU Law boasts two members in the 2023 cohort: Michael Shaw and Michael O’Neill. Both graduated with their Juris Doctor (JD) degrees in 2022.

Lawson Risoldi selected as winner for the James B. Boskey Law Student Essay Contest on Dispute Resolution
The Lodestar Dispute Resolution Center is excited to announce that Liza Lawson Risoldi had the winning paper, "Power in Mediation," for the James B. Boskey Law Student Essay Contest on Dispute Resolution.
150 ASU Law Alumni featured on Phoenix Magazines Top Lawyers list
Phoenix Magazine released its first annual “Top Lawyers” list in the September/October issue. The list, nominated and voted on by their peers, features 150 ASU Law alumni. The magazine also features Q7A stories with alumni Thomas A. Grisoni, Christina Noyes and Adam M. Trenk.
