I grew up half an hour from Tulsa, Oklahoma. If I wasn’t cheering, I was reading a book. But if it was a Friday night, I was probably watching the newest Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM). Honestly, running for snacks during commercials should be an Olympic sport. Nowadays you can find me at sporting events with my family or at home with my zoo.
I started undergrad at the University of Central Oklahoma where I was a coxswain on the rowing team. In my junior year, I transferred to Oklahoma State to have an opportunity to take classes in sports management. After graduating college, I took an opportunity to work at Disney World before moving to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. I enjoyed working with both US and foreign service members while overseas. Serving military families has become a passion of mine. I plan to utilize my law degree to help service members in a new capacity.
I am so grateful I chose ASU. Even though I started law school at the height of the pandemic, I was supported by both my professors and the school. I’m looking forward to spending my final year surrounded by my peers, professors, and the wonderful teams that assist students every day. I spent both my 1L and 2L summers with Greenberg Traurig and will be joining the firm after graduation. ASU has been more than I could ever ask for. I would be happy to tell you more about my experiences.

I was born and raised around Minneapolis, Minnesota, and I have always been a Midwesterner at heart, despite many opportunities to travel around the world throughout my life. After completing my undergraduate degree in Political Science, International Studies, and History at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, I lived in Washington, DC for a year where I previously interned at the Embassy of Iraq. A chance opportunity brought me out to the United Arab Emirates, where I worked in higher education management for five years based out of Dubai.
As a previous Admissions Manager, I was determined to find the right graduate program for my career goals. ASU Law was head and shoulders above the competition because it offered a down to earth and welcoming Midwestern-like community of people with outstanding program and scholarship opportunities. At ASU Law, I currently serve as the President of the International Law Society, I received an award for my volunteering efforts in mental health and pro bono work at the Arizona Legal Center, and I continue to mentor junior students as much as I can.
My first summer at ASU Law I was able to work for Corruption Watch, an NGO in South Africa, and in 2022 I worked as a Summer Associate with Maslon LLP in my home state. I will return to Maslon and Minneapolis in 2023 to start my career in private litigation. In my 3L year, I will study abroad at the University of Bocconi in Milan, Italy for the fall semester. ASU Law has fantastic professors, amazing opportunities, and a connected and active legal community. I'm lucky to be surrounded by so many great individuals who have supported me and I love returning that favor where I can.
Lastly, I've run at least a mile a day for over 850 days in a row and I have a lovely husky named Elvis.

JD Focus: Transactional Law
I am a third-year law student at ASU Law, originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I attended the University of Arizona for my undergraduate studies, where I earned my degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship with a minor in Spanish. Knowing I wanted to attend law school and stay in Arizona, applying to ASU Law was a natural next step.
Attending the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law has been one of the best decisions, both personally and professionally. Personally, I have met some of my best friends and gotten to know many wonderful students and professors. Professionally, ASU Law has provided me with countless opportunities to develop my legal career and cultivate relationships within the community. During my time at ASU, I have obtained valuable hands-on legal experience by working as a summer associate at Snell & Wilmer, externing at the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, participating in the Diversity Legal Writing Program as an intern for PetSmart, and externing for the Arizona Coyotes. I am grateful for each of these opportunities and the school's strong connection with the local legal community for making them possible.
At ASU Law, I have been involved in various capacities. During my time at ASU, I have been a Law Ambassador, an Articles Editor for Arizona State Law Journal, a teaching assistant for Torts, and a mentor for the Advance Scholars Program. I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful people at ASU Law who have made my time here a rewarding and enriching experience!

JD Focus: Intellectual Property
I am originally from the greater Washington, D.C. area. Prior to law school, I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2017 with a B.S. in Game Design and Development. After graduation, I spent two years working as a software engineer for Northrop Grumman in Maryland developing and maintaining radar command and control software. In 2019, I moved to New Jersey to work for Lockheed Martin and spent a year developing process automation tools.
I enjoyed working as a software engineer, but I desired a more challenging and fulfilling career. Deciding to attend law school was one of the best decisions I have made. The law is constantly evolving, presenting new problems to solve on a regular basis. Additionally, by focusing on intellectual property law I get to utilize my knowledge gained during undergrad and my software career.
ASU stood out right from the start. Academically, I was drawn in by the Intellectual Property Program and the Center for Law, Science, and Innovation. More importantly though, I remember coming to visit and having the gut feeling that this was where I needed to be. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and supportive. I knew that this was the community I needed to thrive in law school. I have had some wonderful experiences here at ASU. I am currently a Note and Comment Editor for the Arizona State Law Journal, I was the 2L representative for the Intellectual Property Student Association, and I volunteer as an ASU Law Ambassador. I have also had wonderful intern and externship opportunities. I have worked in-house, for a federal government agency, for the Arizona Court of Appeals, and this past summer I worked for an intellectual property firm in D.C. Finally, outside of school, I love to bake, play games, and watch movies. I am grateful for the opportunities attending ASU Law has afforded me, and I can’t wait to see what else the future holds!
