
ASU Law conferences advance the future of science and technology innovation
The Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University is addressing the legal and regulatory challenges posed by rapid advancements in science and technology through focused advocacy and legal initiatives.
ASU Law’s science and technology expertise is dedicated to embracing innovative technologies and developing state-of-the-art solutions, positioning ASU Law at the forefront of rapidly evolving fields like artificial intelligence and autonomous vehicles.
ASU Law’s centers in this area of expertise lead research, scholarship and advocacy on critical legal issues and policy matters. Their signature conferences and lectures highlight important research and scholarship in the field.
The ASU-Arkfeld eDiscovery, Law and Technology Conference on March 11-12, 2025 will address emerging issues impacting the legal profession in the digital era. Experts from the legal, technological and judicial fields will discuss topics such as eDiscovery, information governance, privacy, security and new forms of electronically stored information.
The Governance of Emerging Technologies and Science Conference will take place May 19-20, 2025. The event will examine the ethical, legal, regulatory and policy issues surrounding the rise of new technologies and scientific advances. Scholars from around the world gather each year at the GETS conference to present their latest research.
In January, the Biannual Law and Neuroscience Conference took place, hosted by ASU Law’s Center for Law, Science and Innovation in collaboration with the U.S. District Court of Arizona. This conference focused on the intersection of addiction, justice and technology.
Additionally, ASU Law’s McCarthy Institute has previously hosted the IP-Con conference, where experts from government, academia, industry and legal practice come together to explore the evolving intersections of artificial intelligence, intellectual property and regulatory issues.
With a strong emphasis on science and technology, ASU Law is at the forefront of shaping the future of legal practice in emerging technologies and innovation.
